Some businesses start with a business plan. Others start with an opportunity.
WORTH KEEPING Automotive Co. started with two hardworking men, an unexpected friendship, and the people who believed in them long before their dream became a reality.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Kevin Hamilton and Trey Derrick first crossed paths a few years ago at an oil change shop. Trey was working as a lube technician when Kevin stepped in as the shop manager, determined to turn the struggling location around.
It didn't take Kevin long to recognize Trey's potential.
Trey was one of the hardest workers in the shop. He showed determination, took pride in his work, and never backed down from an opportunity to improve. Within just a few months, his dedication earned him a promotion to assistant manager.
But something even more important came out of their time working together.
A boss and an employee became friends. Those friends became best friends. And eventually, they became family.
Along the way, they discovered they shared the same dream: to build an automotive company of their own, where hard work was valued, customers were respected, and doing the right thing always came first.
TWO PARTNERS. ONE STANDARD.
Kevin brings over 15 years of automotive experience, while Trey brings roughly 10 years of his own. Both are Toyota Certified and Maintenance Certified.
Their experience matters, but their partnership is built on something deeper: loyalty, mutual respect, and the trust that comes from working side by side.
They've seen what works in the automotive industry, what doesn't, and how customers sometimes get treated along the way.
They knew they wanted to do things differently.
Not just build another repair shop, but build a company where people could feel comfortable asking questions, trust the recommendations they receive, and know their vehicle is being cared for by people who take pride in their work.

Behind every dream are people who help make it possible.
For Kevin, that journey began with his mother, Emma. She always encouraged him to work hard, believe in himself, and push himself to become something great. Her determination to see him succeed helped shape the person and leader he is today.
And standing beside him for more than a decade have been two of his closest friends, Ashley and Jolly.
Ashley and Jolly have been much more than friends. They've been a constant source of encouragement, support, and belief in Kevin's passion. Jolly, a retired disabled military veteran, and Ashley, an advocate for disabled veterans, have both helped remind him to keep pushing forward, even when the journey wasn't easy.
Without Emma, Ashley, and Jolly believing in him and encouraging him to chase his dreams, Kevin knows he might not be where he is today.
For Trey, his greatest motivation comes from his wife, Amber, and their son, Raiden.
They're the reason behind the long days, the hard work, and his determination to keep building a better future. He wants to create something meaningful, something lasting, and something his family can look at with pride.
Both Kevin and Trey understand that success isn't something you build entirely on your own.
It's built with the people who stand beside you, believe in you, and remind you why you started.
